Deep Massage: The Lauterstein Method is a profound
structural
and energetic bodywork method. In this workshop you will learn Deep
Massage
techniques for the heart area, the upper back, neck, shoulders, arms
and hands.
- Learn structural and energetic strokes (fulcrums) for:
pectoralis major and minor, anterior deltoid, subscapularis,
infraspinatus,
supraspinatus, trapezius, sternocleidomastoid, posterior neck, biceps,
triceps,
the forearm and hand.
- Give yourself great new tools to help remedy clinical issues such
as respiratory
problems, high blood pressure, thoracic outlet syndrome, tennis and
golfer's
elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, and hand problems.
- Enrich your own experience of the heart realm and breath.
- Enhance your ability to work with emotional and spiritual issues
related
to the heart and breath.
- Learn how to apply principles and techniques drawn from Zero
Balancing into
an integrated approach for this important realm.
David Lauterstein is Co-Director of The
Lauterstein-Conway
Massage School in Austin, Texas. He has taught and refined his method
of Deep
Massage in England and in the U.S. since 1982. He is the author of Putting
the Soul Back in the Body, the CD, Roots and Branches, Seven
Dimensions
of Touch, and numerous articles in national and international
massage publications

He is also a faculty member of the Zero Balancing Health Association
and has
been a certified ZB teacher since 1996. in 2009 he was inducted into
the Massage
Therapy Hall of Fame and his school was designated the U.S. School of
the Year
at the World Massage Festival. His background prior to bodywork was in
music
composition and philosophy. This is reflected in his teaching which
respects
fully both the art and science of massage/bodywork.
Prerequisites: Participants must be health
practitioners—massage
therapists or students, acupuncturists, chiropractors, physical
therapists,
or other qualified body or body-mind professionals.
